Fuji X-T2 versus Full Frame Nikon DSLR
Many times we have heard about this comparison: APS-C sensors versus Full Frame sensors. The general principle “bigger is better” can be applied here, as well. But it is easy to miss, or forget the fact that an APS-C sensor has a list of advantages, too. And more than that, an X-Trans sensor, coupled with the high quality Fujinon XF lenses (that can rival the best lenses designed for Full Frame cameras) can offer an impressive level of sharpness, contrast, clarity, with amazing colours and competitive background separation.
All that, in a smaller and lighter package. Of course, there is a question of low light performance, where a larger sensor has the advantage offered by physics. If you are interested in this type of comparison, with regards to the latest generation of X-Trans APS-C sensors which are used inside the X-T2, click the link to see this camera, compared by Andrew Marr, against the Nikon D850.
