Premium/ The Fujifilm X-T3: A perspective from an X-T2 owner
Well, how to tackle this? That was something that has been on my mind for a couple of days now. Let’s face it, the internet is full of the “new” X-T3 reviews, comparisons and hands-on experiences. So here I am, thinking that I can add something to some of the X-T3 questions out there. Still, a tough cookie to crack. So who am I then? Well, I shoot Fujifilm since the release of the X-T1 and was fully invested in Fujifilm with the follow-up, the X-T2. I shoot mainly landscape, nature and some man-made objects, i.e. architecture stuff. I like to hike and explore nature and combine that with photography and sometimes vice versa. Let me start with the obvious, yes, as many of you I succumbed to the gear acquisition syndrome, but I was managing it, telling myself to wait for the X-H2 and keep my trusty X-T2. However, I kept telling myself that an X-T3 would be a small upgrade, but a necessary one. Well, you all know by now how that turned out. Using the X-T3 I have noticed some small incremental improvements and some big ones, which to be honest I did not expect, but also some that I thought I needed, but do not use. So let’s break this down into a few categories.
Body and handling The body itself looks more rigid, but I think the X-T2 is a bit better. The X-T3 has a closed bottom plate, where the X-T2 is still made out of two halves joint together. Overall the X-T3 seems more rigid. However… CONTINUE READING…
