"It's been a long journey from my first SLR in 1970 to where I am today, an old man with two Fujifilm X-E3 cameras. I've been shooting street or preferably life photography from the first day with my first camera. I started without knowing anything about photographic history or genres, it just happened to be this way. As retired, shooting has become a lifestyle, or a habit if you want. I never leave home without a X-E3, preferably with the 16mm F2.8. I like the wide-angle perspective on life, I like to get close. Having photography as a hobby or a lifestyle is perfect when growing old. You can continue to refine your expression well into old age. I find most of my photographic influences in the history books, so I think in B&W most of the time. That's why most of my work also ends up in B&W, but I shoot color occasionally. Another thing I challenge is the unsharp perspective on things. Unsharp photos are underrated. They challenge the viewer in a different way than a sharp picture, where less is left for the viewer to fill in. I live in Stockholm, where I also do all my photography work."
